Oral Elixir: Medication for Your Soul by Ausar, Lord of the Perfect Black, had this reader wondering what could inspire such a title. Well, I will have to say, I am still unsure what to make of the name but the poetry is sublime. From the opening pages, when Ausar honors his parents, to the end when he goes on a poetic, erotic journey, he kept me spellbound.

Ausar takes us on a spiritual, lyrical, sometimes erotic journey as he speaks to us about love, our history, his feelings for a woman and his `oral' skills. Normally, when reading poetry I have to take breaks, then, start over. However, with Oral Elixir I wanted to read from beginning to end, then, start over again. The poem entitled `Your Pillow', one of my favorites, speaks to the heart of a man. In fact, all of the poems spill directly from the poet's heart and soul. I love this collection.
Oral Elixir: Medication for Your Soul is aptly titled. I recommend this volume of poetry to everyone. However, they must purchase their own. This one is just for me.
